Great Tasting Olive Oil Highly Recommend This is an excellent tasting Olive Oil I am surprised by some of the reviews because other than an olive oil that I have shipped from San Francisco this is as good. This is first cold pressed and whenever you purchase olive oil you should always make sure it is first cold pressed. This has a wonderful flavor and you will love using it when making homemade salad dressings as well. As a Culinary Chef I have to say that I give this olive oil 4 stars! Enjoy January 28, 2013
Loved the Oliveto Mediterranean Olive Oil I even gave one as a gift to my granddaughter-in-law. January 24, 2013
Great if you are looking for a light tasting blended olive oil. The description of this item says it all. The other reviews are confusing because they give low stars for what the description tells them! I bought this for 2 reasons... 1. The bottle looks awesome and would look great in my collection. 2. I figured it'd taste different and probably be lighter than the 100% Italian EVOOs. It matches those two perfectly! It really is a pretty bottle =] The only problem was it leaked a bit during shipping, customer service was very helpful and friendly and offered to ship me another bottle or to take the leaking bottle into my local store (I ordered online) however I never got around to it and decided to just keep the bottle I had received. Not much was lost, and nothing was broken. January 24, 2013
It is what it is WM needs to correct the description as it is oil from Italy, Spain, and Greece-noted on the label. 2L for $5.99 today on sale is a steal as we are not EVOO connoisseurs. We will be happy if it is average or above. One caveat: the caps on these are NOT air tight (take note WM). I will be taking off the metal caps and using the rubber stoppers to seal them for storage. Luckily we have dark, cool places to store it. January 28, 2013
Bottled in Italy, yes..... ...but probably not 100% Italian olive oil from Italian olives as you might be led to believe from the ad. Italy exports a lot of olive oil, but much is from oils imported into Italy from Spain, Turkey, Tunisia, Greece, etc. It's still an import from Italy, but unless the label states 100% pure Italian olive oil, you're probably getting a blend of olive oils from other parts of the Mediterranean. That said, a good olive oil at a great price. April 27, 2012
Needs a Darker Glass Bottle The primary enemies of olive oil are heat and light. To retain the best properties of olive oil, you should only buy it and store it in either tins or dark bottles. I typically use the container type as one sign of evaluating the quality. Keep your olive oil away from sunlight, heat from stove top range, any source of heat or light. Store in cool, dark area. The marketers say "This beautiful bottle will look great on your counter..." If they don't know how to store olive oil, kind of makes you wonder about anything else they tell you about the product. Hmmmm? April 29, 2012
not Italian This is not italian olive oil. It's a mixture of olives from all over the Mediterranean. The clear glass bottles are not good for storing. Come on World Trade Market, get us some Real Italian Olive Oil!! June 13, 2012
