Yum! Love this stollen. I buy several and keep them in my pantry. They are gone within a few months, so I'm not worried about freezing them. I like to toast slices and spread with butter or cream cheese, but my favorite thing is making french toast out of it. December 25, 2010
WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I AM SOOO AMAZED HOW GOOD THESE SOLLEN ARE. I AM FROM GERMANY AND RECENTLY BOUGHT ONE AT A GERMANE STORE AND IT DIDN'T EVEN COME CLOSE IN TEXTURE OR FLAVOR AND COST MORE TOO. I AM GOING BACK TO BUY MORE AT WORLD MARKET TO GIVE AS GIFTS TO NEIGHBORS AND FRIENDS AND TO FREEZE SOME FOR MY FAMILY. I LOVE THE HAZELNUT ONE. December 9, 2010
Brings back fond memories I use to live in Germany.I couldn't wait for the holidays for this wonderful cake. You can serve this anytime of the day. It's awsome.Thank God for freezers. They freeze well. October 13, 2010
my husband liked it My husband lived in Germany for a number of years and has fond memories of stollen so I got this for him. It seemed a little dense and dry to me, but he thought it was fine. December 29, 2010
Have always loved Stollem We always have Stollen at Christmas. This year I bought all four flavors early and froze them as they were packaged. So far all I have defrosted have remained great just as if they were freshly purchased. I felt the hazelnut version was disappointing as I expected a hazelnut version of the traditional almond paste in the center, but it was obviously almond which overshadowed any hazelnut December 20, 2010
disappointed These Obel brand stollens are not good! My mom and I grew up eating Stollens from my German grandmother. We tried every flavor of the Oebel brand and threw them away! The Bahlsen brand is the best and actually made in Germany! The difference in taste and texture is night and day! Since World Market carries the Bahlsen brand of cookies I really wish they would order some of their stollens! Try one of them if you can find it! December 2, 2010
