I scoured the internet for a piped mattress cover to use on the daybed on my three-season porch, and I was sooo happy to finally find this cover. I wanted to show off the wood frame my husband built, and I dislike those ruffled daybed sets. They look messy, especially when you're generally using the day bed as a couch. This cover has thick fabric, and once washed, it's quite soft. (Took a nap on it in tank and shorts - very comfy on the skin.) The piping lines up well with the edge of my mattress and looks fantastic. I did buy a zippered mattress protector to go underneath this cover since my mattress is somewhat outdoors.

I wanted an outside retreat on my balcony. I bought a daybed, covered the mattress with a waterproof mattress cover then put this over it. I chose this cover because I didn't want it to look like I had a bed outside. The trim on this gives it a tailored look. I added lots of outdoor toss pillows (also from World Market) and now have the perfect outdoor space to read, nap or just hang out. I have an 8" mattress and this fits perfectly.

I have this cover and am waiting to receive my Indonesian Daybed which is on order. The store had the cover in stock so I purchased it. It is a very nice weight and the piping along the top adds a very nice finish. If this was custom made it would cost at least $200+. I did try it on a 9" mattress in my son's room just to see how it would fit and there is still quite a bit of room left so for a tight fit I am going to get an 11" thick mattress for the daybed. I am very pleased with it. The fabric is not scratchy. It's a nice weight cotton that has a burlap look but is not burlap.

I found this canvas cover fits over the standard mattress very well. Both the texture and durability compliments the uniqueness of this Indonesian style daybea. It gives the daybead a certain international flavor. I am quite pleased with this product, thanks !

Cover is too big for the mattress that comes with the Indonesian Day Bed. I guess I could have tried washing it to see if it would shrink but I ended up sending it back because I did not think it would shrink enough.

I purchased a modern daybed and spent hours looking, buying, returning covers at different retailers - online and in-store - so many issues with them. I was thrilled to find this one. No floral / gingham ruffles! This cover offers protection to my mattress while it's being used as seating. It fits a true twin size mattress (75x39) and the piping makes the bed look tailored and is attractive and appropriate for the modern style of bed I have. I think it could work with many styles, though. The burlap isn't scratchy and I think it's a nice durable material and won't make me ever worry about ruining it by sitting on it. I hope they make more in other colors! Attaching a photo, as you can see, it could use a little ironing out of the package.

Calling it burlap is about the best description, but it's beefy - soft - nice texture - not at all rough or scratchy. Out of the package it smelled bad, ok - it stank. I was already cringing about the 'dry clean only' on the label, but ran with the website statement that it was washable. Being washable was part of the whole point to me!
I washed it - three times - finally gave it a vinegar soak to tone down the smell. It worked. Air dry and looking fine. Now I can't tell you if it shrank or not. but it does fit on an 8" thick mattress that has a couple of protectors on it - tight fit, but it does fit and I hope it will stretch enough to take on a topper, but if not it's still a decent cover.
