Rated 5 out of 5 by JenInDC Well-made & perfect for an outdoor bar I purchased this potting bench for use as a bar in my outdoor entertaining space. I have assembled far too many flat-box pieces of furniture in my life but I was very impressed with this particular piece. It's extremely well made and fairly easy to assemble. The instructions include actual words, not just pictures, which is a plus. Although the instructions call for 2 people, I was able to assemble this myself in under an hour. It's incredibly sturdy, looks fantastic, and is just a great piece overall. My only advice is to use a ratcheting screwdriver, preferably a short (stubby) one. Assembly requires getting into some very tight spaces, so a short ratcheting screwdriver will save you time and frustration. July 7, 2015

Have recommended to all my friends and neighbors I had been spying on a more expensive piece for years - but honestly, just not worth plunking down nearly 10x the amount than this World Market potting bench would be. Surely - it is not the same BUT.......... ....this bench totally meets and exceeds my expectations. Put this together myself in about 2 hours and love it. It is made fairly well, looks more expensive than it is and has held up nicely through a couple of drenching rains here where I didn't put a cover on it. We use it for entertaining in our beach area home -- from a bar to a food serving station. It's great. It is large enough to be useful but small enough to fit in a tight space and not be obtrusive. Love it! Everyone who passes by our outdoor entertaining space asks about it. May 16, 2015

I absolutely love this...my husband helped put this together however you can put this together if you don't have another pair of hands to hold some of the parts when assembling it. My husband also commented on how perfect it is for our balcony. I have alot of plants and my previous system was not as pretty and nice as this is. It fits everything and some additional accent pieces to complete the look on my little balcony. The additional table space is perfect for when grill a few hot dogs and burgers! This is perfect for small spaces especially for balconies and decks! Also I just bought it 2 days ago online and just noticed this was $25 less today so I called the wonderful folks at the 1-800 number at Cost Plus and they credited back the balance...hopefully it will go through within the next few days! It's the perfect height for me, doesn't take up a lot of room, and I think the wood will last in the humidity. Overall, a great buy for the price. July 18, 2014

Assembly is required but the pieces are marked with letter stickers that follow the instruction book. The wood is beautiful, it wasn't hard to put together, I was able to do it by myself. Rated 5 out of 5 by Plantlady Nice height and great natural finish. I have wanted a potting bench for many years. When I saw this one it was on sale. I like the features such as the fold-up extension and the sink cover. The upper shelf can hold your plants while you ready the pot for planting and the lower shelf can hold pots or other supplies. It was a little challenging to assembly by myself so if you can get a second set of hands to hold things that would help. Also the hardware I received had an extra bolt and was missing a screw. It was great to have it set up for spring planting. No more leaning over the pots on the patio and getting a back ache. June 3, 2014
