Rated 5 out of 5 by Magpie Daybed Easy to put together and not your average daybed -color is beautiful and loved that I could get this size of a "couch" feel in a small guest room. October 20, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by am11 Love it! Love the look of this day bed! Looks sophisticated and classy, was somewhat easy to put together although quite a few of the pieces didn't line up correctly but with some handyman help I got it worked out. Other than that, I am very happy with it. The color is great and goes with all my different colors of throw pillows! April 11, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Candi Was overall surprised I ordered this at last min because it was on sale and I had been looking for a perfect couch. It was not in store so I could not touch it so I had to order it just in hopes it would be awesome. Upon arrival I was surprised because it weighed so much. I guess I was expecting something cheap/particle board light as paper. I did have an issue with delivery--but that is not a bad review to the couch. Once I got it all unpackaged I was shocked by how great it looked. It is well built--SOLID wood, the fabric is AMAZING. The sides and back are not real thick padding but it's a daybed you are laying on it or you fill it full of pillows. The fabric wraps all areas of the couch. The slats were a little strange for me, they are great but just odd. They work and are fine. I ordered a really nice Bamboo Memory foam mattress off Amazon and within a few min of sitting on it I go to sleep. The couch is not exactly brown, I think it's more olive green. I also think it's your area lighting that determines the color of the couch. I've had this almost a month now and have no complaints. I do have 5 dogs in the house which is why I wanted a bigger couch and this works great. I cover it up most of the time. I also sprayed the entire couch down with a can of Scotch guard in hopes it would help against any spills. April 1, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by JoJo1994 Love the look of this daybed. This daybed is amazing. However, I was a little concerned at all the work needed for assembly. It will take two people to help put it together. The only thing that concerns me (and stopped me from giving 5 stars) is that my mattress does not sit as high as the one in the picture. I will have to buy a bunk board or bunk box springs to lift it up a bit. And I am getting a mattress pad to help keep the top looking smooth. May 30, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by France Well made Color is a darker brown , not the same color as on line, but that was a good surprise since I thought it would have a green tone . Easy to put together . I was able to do it alone in 1 hr . Yet to know How it will hold up with pets . Kim March 10, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by CindyRN Mixed Feelings About This Piece.... This sofa bed arrived yesterday. Started assembly last night. I am a middle-aged, relatively fit and relatively "assemble-at-home" savvy, woman. I actually viewed the instructions for assembly online so I knew what to expect. Packaged well, all pieces arrived intact. Sofa was heavier and sturdier than I expected, material feels very plush, but is EASILY scratched or damaged. Be careful unpacking, moving, and assembling!! Assembly was not so smooth. Whenever an item comes from China, I always expect less than perfect drill holes, etc. And that was the case here. The internal brackets were not properly lined up. In order to remedy this, I removed the brackets, redrilled one or two holes, and secured back onto the frame. Once that was done, I was able to tighten all the bolts with the hex key...but be careful. The Hex tool strips the cheap bolts quickly...so apply pressure evenly and slowly. Now, onto the inner structure of the sofa. I must say the inner structure of this sofa was MUCH shoddier than I expected. Thin pine strips to support the slat frame? A pine middle support brace with a too tiny screw for stability?? Not to mention that two out of four reinforced screw holes needed to secure the slates to the thin pine frame were NOT there! Seems QC missed this. So, I ended up, again, using long screws to fasten the slats to the corner edges of the frame. I don't think this is a long term solution, so I will research this and correct ASAP. Ok, that's all the negative feedback. Now onto the positive. This is a huge day bed. I think, once my mattress arrives, that it will be a comfy spot to relax/sleep on. OH..about the mattress. This bed fits a 10" mattress, and buy the best one you can. Others have posted about buying a 6", but if you measure from the slats upwards, I think you will see that a 6" is just too low. 6" would be a bit too low for sitting #in my opinion#. Think about sitting on this day bed and how you want it to feel. I ended up buying a 10" foam mattress #squishy, but not overly soft, with support for sitting!# mainly because I tried out a conventional spring mattress and just hearing and feeling the springs go "BOING" each and every time I sat down was annoying! Color-wise, I like it! It is definitely a light brown/medium brown which really coordinates well with almost every color scheme. I like the tufted back to the sofa...very pretty and makes the piece stand out. I bought this for $499 with free shipping #outside of the $60 extra delivery fee!#, and despite the cost, I don't think a sale price should equate poor quality. So, I rate this as average because of the relatively shoddy workmanship on the interior frame. And the time and effort I had to expend to correct. I hope to post a pic in a week or so when the mattress arrives. Just my two cents worth!! :-) May 15, 2014
