We'd been wanting an aerator for some time, but just never picked one up. World Market sent me a coupon for $10 off for my birthday (LOVE being a member of the World Market Club!) so I decided to order it online. We love it and notice a huge difference between the wine being poured directly from the bottle into the glass and this method. It really brings out the flavors in the wine. It's not expensive, easy to use and clean. I'd definitely recommend this to someone who wants to enjoy their wine more, but isn't in the market to spend $100 on an aerator.

We own all the different aerators, and use all of them regularly. Aerating red wine makes all the difference.
This is the aerator we bring with us any place we bring wine (evenings with friends, weekend house parties, and even to restaurants).
It works, and it nicely fits in my handbag.

Love the fact that you just pour the wine. You don't have to hold the aerator seperately. It's great for entertaining. Sort of a conversation piece for those that don't have one. And...A great gift idea.

[1] Make sure the two pieces are firmly secure.
[2] Make sure to pour as perpindicular as possible as shown here on the website. You'll get the most and best aeration.
[3] Wine may splatter so be cognizant as you're pouring you may want to have it just above or even in the mouth of the glass.
[4] Be careful of drippage, i.e. don't use over linen tableclothes, carpet and be careful of your clothes.
Be mindful of these terms and you'll love this tool.

The taste of red wines and blends really explodes with the use of this product. After a few opinions from friends and so-called connoisseurs, I bought the aerating pourer and found it to be every thing my wife and I had expected.
