This is a GREAT table! I purchased this table because I wanted something a little more industrial looking. This table is so sturdy. I couldn't believe how fast we assembled it - in 10 minutes or less! When it was put together, I couldn't believe how solid this piece is and how sturdy it is. I am so happy I bought this table. The warping issues have all been fixed, and now I believe there are additional braces/supports under the top to make it as sturdy as any other table top on the market. WAY TO GO WORLD MARKET! Love this table! I read the reviews of this table before I purchased it and they made me a little nervous, but I figured that I could just return it if it was warped or uneven, so I bought it, and I'm so happy I did! No warping! The table is exactly what I was looking for. Other stores sell a table that looks exactly the same for soooo much more money. The only thing I would complain about is the fact that the type of metal the table top is wrapped in is not specifically stated anywhere, I might be wrong, but I believe "sheet metal" can be made of pretty much anything. I imagine it's some kind of steel. Other than that, a great product and I'm very happy with it! May 8, 2013
Great Table! Really love this table...it's is quite large and very sturdy. I picked mine up from my local store and my table has only a very small ding in the edge of the metal top...not at all noticeable. My only complaint is that I wish they had matching benches for it! I'm holding out on purchasing chairs, hoping that they will come out with benches in the near future! Would highly recommend this table, and it is very simple to put together with two people (the metal top is quite heavy!). January 14, 2013
Great table! I love this table. Beautiful and solid. I just wish they had matching benches. January 5, 2013
Five Star Quality but Design for Six needs improvement Quality is excellent. No dings. The box was damaged but inside the box the contents were in great shape. Solid! As for looks - far better then the picture! The wood has a very nice finish. Beautiful Industrial Chic look. Now for the details that I could not find in other reviews but was wondering – does this hold six people comfortably? If you do not need for six I highly recommend. If you need for six... read on. I bought this table so I could get six people all the way around it (in other words utilizing all four sides). I was a little concerned without seeing it if the seats on the end would have enough table room before hitting knees for I know that with any trestle table this can be an issue. There needs to be enough of an overhang – and I can confirm that there is sufficient overhang (keeping in mind this is a trestle table so this will be less then usual – but sufficient). THE PROBLEM --- what I did not think of was the knob in the picture (3rd one) that sticks out. This is where I bang my knees! And unfortunately this is worse then the usual bang against the trestle when you push yourself too far in - Instead, I am harshly reminded every so often when I shift my legs , cross them, get up….I almost wish I could just chop them off or add little rubber encasings! You are not able to push a chair alll the way in either. I am surprised no one else has written about this. Perhaps this was an improvement to correct the warping of the top. However, now that I look at it and perhaps you can now see it too, when sitting on the end, you are going to hit your knees on that little piece that juts out. I hope this is helpful to others wondering this question. My family fits around it just fine and we can save the end spaces for holidays. However I sort of laugh... we now have this long table taking up a lot of extra room... and really we still will have an issue with two more chairs - in this case not a tight squeeze but a bump on the knees! Buyer beware of warping!!!! We bought and returned two different tables from our local store because once we got them out of the box we could see significant warping, enough that it showed on a level indicator. Placed in the middle of the table the bubble would be in the middle...once placed on either end, the bubble went all the way to the right or left. We were so disappointed and wanted this table so badly that we not only went back to our local store to check the third table, we asked them to call another store 30 minutes away to check their stock. All of them were warped. We have not attempted to have one shipped, but after checking five different tables we are beginning to realize this must be a manufacturing defect. It would be great if Cost Plus could address the situation and stop selling these tables until the problem is fixed. It's a beautiful table and well worth the price (we have seen similar ones priced much higher) but when you buy a table, it should at least be LEVEL! December 28, 2012
