Every time I walk into my living room I'm surprised how much I like this lamp. The base is see-through, which isn't totally obvious from the pictures online. I was disappointed by this at first, but it really gives the lamp a unique quality and it looks great when it's turned on because the light sort of flows through the entire piece.
Love it! Definitely recommended.

It's a gorgeous lamp. The only things that worry me are the thinness of the glass and that there is nothing on the bottom, it's just open. The table I have it on is pretty slippery but have not had any problems with it sliding around too much. I feel more at ease. It's really pleasant to look at.

We were searching for a less expensive alternative to the WE mercury glass lamp, and were thrilled to find this. We've had it almost two years, and I love it every time I look at it. It is a bit unstable, but I wouldn't consider it delicate, as ours has always been within reach of our cats. I don't think the picture does it justice, as to me it looks nicer in person, but that's the way mercury glass is. Overall, I'd buy another one in a heartbeat if we had the room, as it's a great knockoff of a much more expensive lamp.

Absolutely love this lamp! (Paired it with the cream colored linen lamp shade.) Have it sitting on my nightstand which has a dark finish so it really pops. The only setback with this lamp is I would only buy it in the store so you can look at it up close to make sure you don't get one with scratches in the glass. It looks just like the $200 version of the almost identical lamp from another store, so glad I went with this one!

I wanted to take the time out to write this review in hopes of saving some people from heart break. I had been looking at similar styles at other discount stores but by the time I went to buy them, they were sold out. I saw this lamp in the store and fell in love. The price was steep (considering other options) but I figured I'll have them for a long time. Well, I was wrong. The base was very unstable, so unstable that a breeze could knock these down. I bought two of these and they both broke within the year I bought them.
