I really like this mix. I often replace half-and-half with milk in a mix like this, but for this one, I splurge. It's worth it. You get a really creamy chowder--great on cold nights!

This is the first soup mix that I have ever purchased. I normally make all my soup from scratch but decided on a whim to buy this. I love this soup. It was very easy to make and was delicious. I offered it to a friend one afternoon and he thought that I had made it homemade. When I make it again, I will change one thing. I will omit the bacon. I don't think it added anything and I personally to not like the texture of cooked bacon in a liquid.

I love this soup and so does everyone I make it for. I have chosen to use cubed ham instead of bacon. I also use a few extra cups of chicken broth because I like the broth so much. I like adding in carrots and celery too, but you don't have to. The broth is thin, so I decided to add a tablespoon of flour when I whisk the broth powder base into the half and half. It thickens the soup up just a little bit. This is very quick to make and tastes great.

Read all directions before you begin this recipe. It states to add all ingredients and later in the recipe it asks you to add the soup base to the half and half (which you have already added.)
The flavor was bland, I added chicken soup base, salt and pepper. I would suggest you use all chicken stock instead of the water it asks for. I would also add some shredded chicken if I were to ever purchases again.

I was disappointed to find that this soup mix is not vegetarian. There are chicken products in the mix, either chicken fat or chicken broth. I ordered this mix and two others, all of which included chicken products. I had to give them away. I could not tell this from the pictures or description. Also, the description is misleading: Our Market Classics® Potato Corn Chowder Mix is an exclusive, all-natural blend of potatoes, corn and spices. It's a snap to prepare with just water and half and half.
It would have been nice to have the ingredients listed in description.
