Amazing mix I normally make this from scratch and have been for years. I saw a sale for soup mixes an grabbed a box to test it out. Got home late and wanted a warm comfort meal. Pulled out the box and gave it a try. VERY close in flavor to my recipe and took 1/2 the time. I will be buying more boxes very soon. October 9, 2013
Easy and delicious. This stuff is good! I ordered 4 more boxes. Massive, deep flavor. Not hot-spicy, but a perfect blend. Even better the second day. February 1, 2013
Great! I usually make my Jambalaya from scratch but I tried this mix and it was so very close to my original that my husband thought I had made it from scratch. This is a keeper! January 24, 2013
Great Jambalaya I made this in my slow-cooker, as well. Very easy, very hearty, and delicious! November 4, 2012
Easy & Delicious We used a slow cooker, and followed the instructions using chicken and sausage. It was absolutely delicious and very simple to make. Perfect meal to start before work - and come home to a very delicious smelling house and a meal almost ready to eat! October 14, 2012
Wanted to like this I liked the World Market Harvest Vegetable Soup mix so much that I decided to try another Market Classics, this time jambalaya. The box contains seasoning mix, soup base, parboiled white rice, chili pepper, salt, garlic, paprika, cumin, parsley, dried red & green bell pepper, onion, tomatoes, chives, celery. The instructions also call for fresh boneless, skinless chicken thighs, spicy sausage (andouille), and fresh shrimp. The instructions were easy to follow and obviously well-tested. The end result looked appetizing and smelled very good. But when I tasted it, the sauce tasted much like a reconstituted dried mix instead of the fresh flavor I had hoped for. I noticed my husband was similarly unenthusiastic. "The jambalaya we had in New Orleans was much fresher tasting," he said. Well sure, I would expect that, but I was simply disappointed in the flavor. It was not bland, and it was not too spicy; it just didn't taste appealing. I tried the leftovers the next day, hoping the flavors might deepen and improve. But it remained the same. February 20, 2014
