I'm a college student cooking for one and this fits my budget without having nasty canned soup. I added half a chopped onion, two tomatoes, minced garlic, 1 extra cup of chicken broth, and hot sauce...AMAZING!!
And it yielded enough for 3 extra meals. Definitely recommend if you're a veggie/bean lover.

suggest adding one chopped onion, one stalk of celery - saute those before adding. Spice mix tastes a little dusty, might skip it next time. I make a big pot of soup, heat a bowl a day and top it with cheese.

This soup, when cooked according to the directions on the bag will produce very dry, uncooked beans. I have seen this before, primarily with pea soup in which the peas have to be soaked overnight. I would not recommend this soup in it's current bag.
