When I bought this chair, I thought it was a leather chair (I should have looked up bi-cast leather before purchasing- my fault). It does not really feel like real leather, so just know that going in. However, it is easy to clean, very comfortable and the color is gorgeous. It is also smaller than I pictured, so make sure to look at the measurements. It turns out that worked in my favor though since the space I had in mind for it was smaller than I thought also. It seems to be well made, so that is also important to mention. It is a very stylish chair and I would recommend to others!
I ordered two of these chairs and they brighten up the room nicely. Unfortunately one of them had a nail almost poking through the leather near the top. The store staff were very helpful and courteous with the exchange but I do think a quick glance by quality control could have prevented the chair going out in the first place. It's very annoying to pay almost $170 in additional shipping costs and then have to lug the faulty chair to a store in order to make an exchange. In the end it was worth the effort because the chairs look great, I love the color and the quality is in line with the price.
I looked at these chairs online for a long time and coveted them because of their "mallard green" color. I finally went to a World Market to see them in person. They only had the red in stock. But after sitting in the store display chair, I went home and immediately ordered two of these chairs, even without seeing the actual color in person, because of their comfort. They were delivered fairly quickly and I could not be happier with them! The color is exactly as pictured online and they are perfect in front of my fireplace. Love them!
I think this may be the last piece of furniture i buy from Cost Plus World Market. I usually get sucked in by the great styling and excellent prices. This chair is no exception--it has gorgeous lines and profile and is extremely comfortable to sit in. Assembly didn't take too long, if you know to look for the legs in the zippered compartment under the chair. But this isn't the first piece of furniture I've purchased here that fails to live up to even the minimum amount of quality to be considered usable. With this chair, I had to order it in custom color of mallard and wait several weeks to pick it up. When I unpacked it at my office, I was disappointed that the back part where the back cushion attaches was not taught, as it is in the floor models. Next I noticed 2 very visible shiny silver staples on the side and on the side of the arm rest, it looks like the underneath lining got folded or something, b/c there is a very noticeable irregular seam line that pushes through the "leather". That brings me to the biggest issue-- when I laid it on it's back to attach the legs (on wall to wall carpet, mind you), the simple act of pushing it 2 or 3 feet scrapped off the "leather", leaving ugly white underlining; the "leather" isn't even dyed through, it's just painted on! This piece is described as being "high quality" and for "years of daily family use", so I don't see how in less than 10 min of careful moving by an adult, the chair was essentially destroyed. I am going to try to return it, but guessing they are going to say it was my fault.
I ordered 2 of the chairs for occasional seating for the living room. The color is wonderful, just as pictured and they are comfortable for short term seating. The bonded leather is slick and you have a tendency to slide a little.
