Rated 5 out of 5 by Cindy615 Great addition! First time making Macarons. I did one pan with parchment paper and the other using this silicone sheet. The ones on the silicone sheet were perfect...can't say that about the other sheet. Only mistake I made was not ordering two of them. I had read reviews for others similar sheets and complaints that they stick...not with this one. April 5, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Peace Don't Count On It I tried these silicon mats to make macarons. I usually use parchment paper and they turn out well. The only redeeming point I have is that I did not pay full price for the mat and would not recommend to do so. First, there's a tsunami effect during baking. So while the mat lays flat on a baking sheet, it rises up in waves causing the batter to shift during the baking process. Both a mat piped full with the meringue, and half piped with meringue resulted in the same thing. I put a 1-star rating for the value because, as anyone who uses almond flour knows, the ingredients to make macarons do not come cheap and nor does the time involved. So while they looked okay after baking, they were next to impossible to remove from the mat. I thought I had baked 48 usable macaron shells but most of them just broke from being stuck to the mat. Some user information or trouble shooting tips should be included with these. Next time I'm sticking to parchment... well, at least the macarons won't be! June 5, 2015
