Although I did it by myself it would have even been easier with another person to help hold the arm while assembling to base. I love the foot switch - first time I've ever had one. December 10, 2015

WARNING: It doesn't come with a shade or a light bulb. One feature I really like about it is that the on off switch is a foot petal on the floor. It assembled very easily and it is built to last. Due to the unusual size and shape of this lamp I would recommend ordering a shade from world market as well. I went ahead and ordered one of the recommended shades and I am very happy with the quality, shipping and results. I wanted a nice overhead type reading lamp for my reading nook. This also works for a substitute for June 23, 2015

Beams of light dance along my body providing warmth. Its in perfect harmony with my new chair which together resemble all that is MAN. If you are not a gentleman then you do not need this lamp.
