Others are disappointed, but I'm not! I was really short on money when I was looking for a sofa, then I came across this one. I bought it on sale, which was great. It was actually the floor model, and I figured if it didn't look bad after lots of bored husbands/boyfriends/kids sitting on it, it would probably be okay in my apartment. I am a single person, so I can't say how it would be with multiple people sitting on it daily, but for me it works great. Some people have complained that the seats get dips when people sit in the same spot a lot. I flip and rotate the cushions every month or so and have no problem with sagging cushions. The velvet-type texture is comfortable and also easy to vacuum and clean. My opinion is that if you can afford a really nice sofa go for it. Why buy a small basic sofa then be disappointed that it's a small basic sofa? But if you are on a budget, it sure beats other big discount stores any day! (Also, I was able to fit it in my small SUV and get it home myself!) September 19, 2013
Great looking sofa for a living area I am a college student and purchased the Lindley Sofa as my everyday seating. The oatmeal linen material is not the softest, and the foam in the cushions lumps a bit when you sit in the same spot for a while. I love the shape of the sofa, though the quality is not high end which is fine for me since I was looking for an moderately priced sofa I could use my friends and family discount on (25%). I would recommend this sofa for either a formal living room or in a place where you don't plan on lounging on it for hours. It is still comfortable enough for me to curl up in a blanket and watch tv or take a nap. August 14, 2012
Wow What a Disappointment I have young kids, so everything in my house gets thrashed after about a year. I mention this because it's the only reason I'd ever buy such a cheap sofa, because it's going to get thrashed anyway. But you expect even a cheap sofa would at least last a year, right? All I wanted was to freshen up the living room, where the kids seldom ever go. My point is, I know darned well that any decent sofa is going to cost money, at least $1,000. This isn't a decent sofa, but I knew that going in. I thought it would at least last a year. Twelve months. Maybe eighteen? NOT. I barely got it delivered before I realized what a mistake it was. It fell apart immediately, and was so uncomfortable to sit on. The very first week, it started looking like something I'd found on the street. And again, the kids aren't using it that much. It's just me, trying to read a book or have the living room not look ugly. Every last thing that touches it leaves a mark, makes a dent, and you just can't have that people. Well this didn't work. At. All. It made the living room look worse than the prior $600 sofa had looked after two years of use. So after two months, I put it on craigslist and got $40 for it. I'd asked $100, but after they sat on it.... no dice. It's a shame. It's a darling sofa. As long as you never ever ever sit on it. Don't kid yourself, a cheap sofa is like a cheap bra. You will regret it. Even if it's on sale, it is not worth it. :-( October 2, 2013
Very disappointed. I bought this sofa in April. In less than six months, the back cushions have completely lost all of thier shape and support. There is an almost permanent indention in the seat sofa where people regularly sit. When you sit on it, you can practically feel the frame through the seat cushions. The sofa did not hold up at all. Unfortunately, I agree with the other reviewers. If you are looking for a sofa to use on a daily basis, this is not it. Thi sofa will wear out faster than it should. It was not worth the money. I would not buy it again and would caution anyone else against purchasing it. October 29, 2012
Decoration Only I've only this sofa for 6 months, and it is uncomfortable, my cushions are bunching, and it is only my husband and I that are ever on it...this sofa wouldn't last a week in a house with more than 2 people.... The fabric is itchy and I cannot believe how lumpy this couch has become..wow fail world market, and I do so love you, but you should take this sofa off the market...It is a pretty sofa, nothing more October 14, 2012
