These lavender soap rose petals are so beautiful. The scent is just enough, a distinct lavender aroma that isn't overpowering. These would make the perfect hostess gift or for any gifting occasion. I put these in an apothecary jar with a bow around it, and have it displayed in the guest bathroom. I don't use them for soap, but people could, although it is meant more for decoration. I want to get some of the other scents/colors now.

First they retain scent very well. I live above a smoker and the smell leaches into my bath, but these petals cover up that smell very well. I have to admit that I expected the petals to melt better as they are glycerin, but they do make you rub and wash for at least 30 germ-killing-seconds if not longer!

These are terrible. They don't smell much and they aren't fragrant when they do smell --sort of dull. They feel like plastic and don't dissolve well, when they do "melt" they coat your hands like plastic and don't really come off, there is no lather to speak of, just a gooey melted oily and plasticy residue that you feel you have to wash off with more real soap... these aren't a value at all. They are just pretty and unique. They are best looked at in the box, because they don't really fit any other use unless you have a dish they can just be pretty decorations in.

I previously purchased this product a year ago, and they were quite nice -- subtle fragrance, delicate petals. I was even using them in my work. Now, however, the formula/ingredients have been changed for the worse. The color is really bright and inauthentic, there is hardly any scent and, the big factor for me, they feel gross when you wash. You have to use them for a long time with warm water, and then they clump in your hands and sink. Really disappointed and would love for them to revert back to the old recipe, because this concept is truly wonderful.
