Rated 4 out of 5 by TopQuark Top-Heavy Cute large duck, as pictured. Made of soft but sturdy rubber, about what you would expect for a rubber duck. Beak and eyes are painted on. Unfortunately, it is rather top-heavy, and it won't float upright (it flips over on it's side). It also has a convex rounded bottom (not visible in the picture), so if you're using it just for bathroom decor, it won't sit completely upright on a hard surface (it doesn't flip completely on it's side like it does when floating in water, but it leans at a slight angle unless you support it with something). It would be nice if the bottom were weighted somehow (maybe just with some extra thick rubber) so that it would stay upright. I ended up cutting a small slit in the bottom (along the existing seam), putting a handful of sand in it with a funnel, then sealing the slit with silicone glue. This fixed the problem, and it now stays upright both when floating and on hard surfaces. However, the duck was originally slightly pressurized, and I let the extra air out when I cut it open. So, after doing this, the duck would collapse slightly whenever it got cold (like room temperature instead of bath water temperature) due to the air inside shrinking. To fix that, I cut it open again, stuck it in the freezer, then glued it again when cold, so that it is once again slightly pressurized at room temperature. January 5, 2014
