LOVE THESE BARSTOOLS! I love the look of these barstools. I have a contemporary style and these fit in well with my taste. Very easy to assemble. April 16, 2009
great barstools I love these barstools, had to cut them down to tall for my outdoor kitchen. They are well constucted and comfortable. I would recommend these to anyone. I have brought them in for the winter and they stack on top of each other well. February 1, 2009
Love these barstools. I purchased these for my patio. The stools were easy to assemble, it took me maybe 20 minutes for each. They are well made and perfect with the Kona pub table. January 3, 2009
Love these (non-weather-proof) Stools! Just like the Kona table, the stools do not arrive weather-proofed and the instructions advise you to do this yourself if you don't want them to turn gray in the elements. We chose not to do this and just buy covers since a) we didn't spend enough on them to justify that level of effort, b) we aren't sure how long we're going to need them, and c) we'll just buy some inexpensive covers instead. Aside from this, they've been perfect! May 17, 2009
"Attractive and easy to assemble . . ." I have been very satisfied with these chairs so far. I bought them for a bar height outdoor kitchen island. They were very easy to assemble, taking about 15-20 minutes each (the first one took about 25, but didn't need to read the instructions after that). They have an attractive design, but the back is a bit short and doesn't show from the opposite side of the bar, if that is an issue for you. The seat height is OK. They are not uncomfortable, but their comfort isn't exactly inviting, either, but they are fine for me for outdoor use. They are well-built and very sturdy/stable. I have only had them for a short time, so I am not sure how they will weather, but they are teak, so I am sure they will lose their current color and begin to gray . . . but I expect this. So far, I am very pleased with them. May 13, 2009
Kona Barstool Great value, good appearance, best with a chair pad. April 23, 2009
The price is right anyway I messed up and didn't pay much attention to seat width, was more concerned about seat height, which isn't listed in description, so took a gamble...height is 29", which is great for a bar stool, but seat width is only 15", which IS listed (oops), you really ought to get a tape measure out and see how narrow that is. The assembly hardware is not hidden very good(brass color screws, washers, and black spacers), it's pretty much visible and detracts from appearance. Stools are probably worth what I paid, so can't complain too much, as I got what I paid for. June 19, 2011
The price is the only good thing. I should have paid closer attention to the dimensions, I was more concerned with seat height, which isn't listed (should be...called Customer Service twice, said they'd find out for me...never did...ordered anyway...seat height is 29"). The seat width is 15", good for cramped space, but not enough for average person. The hardware is exposed (chairs I got have more obtrusive hardware than web picture) and the bright screws and black plastic hdwe. make the chairs look cheaper than they are. Last but not least, they are outdoor furniture and have some kind of oil on them which will not take stain/sealer (if you want to change color), and as it just got fairly misty overnight where I live (not rain...mist), I noticed brown stains on my cement underneath the feet of the chairs, should come clean but be prepared for messy floors/stained carpet if these chairs get wet before you figure out a way to seal them. Just noticed they're on sale, which is a bad omen (to me). June 11, 2011
