Love this pattern. It's so spring like, beautiful and cherry. I made valances for the breakfast area and seat covers for the bar stools to match. Put the full curtains in the den with yellow walls.
I've just received several panels of the Kavita Curtain. These curtains are even better in person than in the online pictures. They are fantastic quality for the price point, and I am pleased so far. I'm planning to use these curtains in my lower level Rec Room, to cover the triple windows and sliding door. The material is good quality and on the thicker side... sort of in-between a more durable cotton canvas and a standard table linen texture. I love that these curtains are machine washable. When I unwrapped the curtains, they felt like they had a weird coating on them (i guess a protective coating?) so definitely need to be washed before hanging. They seemed to wash very well. I don't notice any color bleeding or fraying or anything, and they held up perfectly in a normal cycle. Definitely need to be ironed, though, as they are quite wrinkly after washing... though expected due to the material. I would post some pictures, but I need to do some work on the curtains before I can hang them. I bought them in a longer length than what i needed, since i wanted to allow for skrinkage as the other reviewers mentioned, and also to account for the tabs at top that I am planning on removing or folding down. I haven't decided whether I will sew the tabs down the back and then put them on the pole for more of a hidden tab look, or if i will use the curtain rings I bought to hang them. I'll likely need to hem the bottoms up a bit too to fit. I'm planning on layering these curtains, so i am OK with the fact that they are not lined. They are a bit of a thicker cotton material vs. a breezy sheer, though would not block out light. I have some white textured gauzy sheers (with mini polka dots and scalloped edges) that I am going to layer underneath. Also, since I will be using these on the ground level of my house, I am going to layer these also with an installed window treatment for a bit more privacy/warmth. Haven't decided yet whether that will be wooden blinds/shutters, or something a bit more insulating like honeycomb shades. It's a bit cold on that level, so I am leaning towards honeycomb shades in perhaps a pretty olive to compliment this lovely print!
The fabric is exactly as it shows on my lap top. Bright and beautiful at the slider in my dining room allowing just the right amount of light to filter in. A little longer than needed but I am allowing for shrinkage. I loves these 'Happy' curtains!
