Juttis: The Celebratory and Everyday Footwear of India
Juttis are a type of Indian footwear, handmade and adorned with brightly colored embroidered patterns and embellishments such as rhinestones, sequins, seed beads, and tiny mirrors. Traditionally handcrafted of leather, these sandals have no left or right distinction and are known to take shape to the foot over time.
Throughout India, both men and women wear juttis. While juttis remain a part of ceremonial attire, they are also popularly worn as everyday shoes.
