When I received the larger cake stand, the plate on top was loose from the base. I have other reproduction jadeite cake stands that are molded all as one piece. This cake stand has a base and a plate that is *supposed* to glued to it. I would be hesitant to put a cake on it with it being held on by glue only. But, if you are looking for an inexpensive jadeite look alike, then this might be what you are looking for especially for decorative purposes. Also, like the other reviewer said, the color isn't quite the same.

There is a reason why this is titled the way it is. This is not the color of Jadeite, so if that's what you're looking for, you will be disappointed. It is Jade (green) colored glass, though. It's very bright green compared to actual Jadeite. It is greener than in the pictures. Sorry, World Market. I love you, but you disappointed me with this one. I was so excited for a fantastically priced jadeite cake stand, but alas, I did not get that with these. :(
