Great daybed Was backordered, so took a few weeks to get it. Very easy assembly. Looks very nice. Got for extra sleep space in a great room, goes well with decor. Very happy with purchase! August 24, 2013
Amazing bed/Great value! I ordered this bed through my store and used my 15% off coupon, paid for the bed and waited. Lucky for me one came in about 3 weeks otherwise I would have had to wait until the end of September. It's a very solid bed. Very well made and SO EASY to put together. I did it by myself because I didn't want to wait for my husband to get home to help. The base the mattress lays on is fairly heavy but it can be put together by one person by following the directions. I used an 11-12" mattress and it fits the mattress cover that I also purchased through World Market perfectly. The mattress cover is very well made and looks custom. The finish on the bed was a grey. I thought it would be a darker brown with a grey wash like is shown on the left side of the picture online but mine was more grey. I think the finish is great and has a lot of depth and character but the grey didn't go with the guest room so I spray painted it black and sanded a few areas off to add some character and then went over those areas with a little bit of antiquing medium. I think this bed is so great for the money. It is very sturdy and well done. Order one - it's perfect for a guest room, sofa, covered porch etc. My store is only a mile away or so but it does become available online. Once they sell what's in the warehouse they say it's unavailable online until they get more in. If you want one, order it right away when it becomes available online and use a World Market Explorer coupon. You won't be sorry. August 15, 2013
Gray Daybed is Terrific I bought this bed because I fell in love with it in the showroom. I didn't even have a room to put it in! Now I have it on a covered porch, I got the gray mattress cover and it looks great with a green quilt and pillows on it. Meanwhile I am planning a move and already know this will be my new sofa/TV/reading spot. About the value, I have not seen a daybed in with this quality and style for less than $1000. Wood daybeds are expensive, thank you World Market for offering this. August 6, 2013
surprised by support leg I just picked this up the other day and put it together. I was very surprised to find a center support leg in the box after I had put the daybed together given the reviews I had read when picking this daybed out originally, what a great surprise especially as we plan to use our daybed as a sofa. Granted if you wanted to use a trundle under this daybed you would not be able to use the added center support leg. For now I put one of my son's bunk bed mattresses (7" memory foam mattress) on the daybed to determine what height mattress would work best with this daybed and the cover I bought for it at World Market. I will definitely say the 7" mattress doesn't quite seem tall enough for the mattress cover as the cover is rather loose looking right now though I'm sure that could be easily remedied if necessary. I would say an 8 to 10 inch mattress would probably work best, but I have a feeling 8 inches might work better than 10 inches. July 9, 2013
Fabulous Attractive Daybed! I love, love, love this daybed!! I searched a long time for one and when it went on sale at Christmas I finally bought it and it was very competitive to other day beds I was considering. I needed it in my guest/son's bedroom since he took his bed to college I wanted something for him to sleep on for the holidays but would make the room a great TV room when he is at school. It is extremely sturdy and heavy so I waited till he was home to help carry the big pieces up stairs to assemble. It was a quick assembly and for as few bolts it took it feels rock solid. I bought a twin size pillow top mattress with no box springs for it and it is a nice high height for me at 5' 8". I did not buy the burlap cover they sell because I wanted something nicer/softer. Though it looked nice with their gray burlap cover because the wood is a gray with a wash, which gives it a nice aged quality. I purchased a deep twin sized fitted sheet in gray but looking at other sources for daybed covers. It's a nice deep bench and if you put a good quality mattress on it anyone will feel they are sleeping in a normal bed. As a sofa it's nice and deep so I bought lots of fun Eastern vibe pillows in bright colors & shapes. Very satisfied with the purchase! July 8, 2013
Just what I wanted! I bought this spare-room bed for overnight guests. I used an 8" mattress another buyer suggested and it worked well. When delivered, my husband had the box inside since it was huge! Since I'm only 5' tall, it did take 2 of us to put it together but pretty simple. July 4, 2013
Perfect! I had my eye on this daybed for months...I watched and waited until the big furniture sale they had in Jan. I absolutely LOVE this piece and it was SO very easy to put together. AND it's very sturdy considering it only required 4 (or maybe it was 5) extra long screws and bolts. It doesn't even jiggle. I put it together by myself, however I'd recommend someone to help. The back piece is kind of heavy so you will need someone to make sure it's held straight. But it didn't take long to put together even with one person. The color of the daybed is a gray ash, kind of distressed but surprisingly it works well with any decor. I placed this piece in the corner of my really long living room because I needed a place for corner reading and for the occasional extra guest. So it's not necessarily primary seating. I bought a mid-quality twin mattress (I wouldn't recommend getting a cheap, flimsy mattress) and I also purchased World Market's burlap slipcover in spice orange. But I've also use a basic red quilt to cover it up and it worked fine. I bought pillows in different colors and styles and I just love the look! It sits and sleeps so comfortably. It's less expensive than the pull-out sleeper sofas and I'm very eclectic so this works great for me! Later on I'm thinking about buying another one for my sunroom. Would be the perfect piece. If you need extra seating or a cool bed for a guest room and you don't want it to look like those futons from college dorm rooms, get this grown-up piece. You won't be disappointed. June 3, 2013
Nice all around It's a very nice day bed. Bought it today with a new mattress. It looks better in person than the picture, it doesn't do it justice. Can't wait to buy those beautiful throw pillows for it. May 23, 2013
