Why We Love It

"Impastoble" is titled after the Italian word "impasto" which refers to the painting technique that celebrated Healdsburg, California artist Bradford Brenner used to create it. Interestingly, the original painting was crafted using paints from Holland made by the same company that Van Gogh used! This hand-embellished print on stretched canvas offers loads of texture and lush hues to brighten your space at a beautiful value.

The Story Behind It

Bradford Brenner Paints with Feeling

Based out of Healdsburg, a quaint Sonoma county town in the heart of Northern California wine country, Bradford Brenner spends his days painting. Since 1989 he has dedicated his craft to employing different techniques to his work, like impasto, where the paint is laid upon the canvas very thickly to create a pronounced texture and the sense that the image is actually three dimensional. He also runs his own gallery in Healdsburg where his internationally collected pieces can be viewed locally. Brenner's work reflects a sense of lightheartedness and an elevated experience of the ordinary with a sincere appreciation for life's simple joys. His muses range from poppies to tin cans and he always seems to find a way to connect with his audience with his beautifully unique aesthetic. His intention as an artist to convey feeling can be seen in his large-scale World Market exclusive prints and paintings that make cheery and dynamic additions to any space and have a sincere ability to brighten any wall.
