Why We Love It

HP Sauce is a taste of Britain. According to local lore, in 1896 Frederick Gibson Garton called the sauce "HP" because he'd heard that a restaurant in the Houses of Parliament was serving it. This genuine and original brown sauce is great for kicking up bacon sandwiches, British bangers, potatoes and baked beans.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Good on Heinz Baked Beans I put this on my beans and toast and it was very good. I haven't tried it on any sort of meat yet, but I hear that's the way to go. It has a unique taste, but I've never met anyone who didn't like it. August 26, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by HP Sauce is the best! If World Market ever quits selling this product, I might actually stop shopping there! Our family goes through at least 2 bottles a month! The best burgers in the world - a little Worchester & fine bread crumbs, slap on the barbie and when done, put on a bun with a slice of onion and the HP sauce. Nothing is better in the world! Rated 5 out of 5 by The only thing to put on beef HP Sauce is the only thing meat deserves. Throw all the lesser sauces away, pretend you have never heard of ketchup, Everything goes better with HP. On a burger, with mashed potatoes, and of course with any meat. Use it as a marinade and let the meat soak for a few days and then, pour some on your plate and dip away January 10, 2010
Rated 5 out of 5 by LOVE this stuff I use this product primarily for dipping: anything british, and most european. If chips or fries are being served - this MUST be available! It pairs perfectly with british, stron red s, IPA's, or any beer witha a strong kick. It can be used as a great marinade as well that I guarantee will wow your friends and family with it's unique taste. October 2, 2009

Rated 5 out of 5 by You'll Love it! I absolutely love HP sauce! I was introduced to it in college, when I had a roommate from Ireland, since I've been addicted. I love it on absolutely everything from my potatoes to meats. I found that heinz 57 is something very similar and cheaper, though still I prefer to buy HP sauce because it has the tang that I love. I would definitely recommend this! :) March 5, 2009
Rated 5 out of 5 by A Staple in Britian & Canada Being from Canada --- this is staple in Canada (and Britan) and can be found in most restaurants. A must for me on scrambled eggs, cheddar cheese sandwiches and steak. Unfortunantely it is very rare in the US and this is the first time I have seen it. Way better than Heinz 57 or A4 sauce. It you try it and like it -- pick some up the next time you go to Canada. It is way cheaper :-) February 14, 2009
Rated 5 out of 5 by Simply the best I have heard of this stuff for years and found the product here. I picked up a bottle to give it a try. I love it and my son, who is not quite 2 yet, loves it too. My husband is not a fan since he does not like malt vinegar (shame on him - lol). It's really good stuff. Never stop carrying it. January 20, 2009
