Why We Love It

Developed in Britain in the 1890's, our Retro Hopla! Game hasn't lost its popularity. This rousing game helps kids develop hand-eye coordination by using wooden hands to flip cones into the target. The nicely illustrated box and pieces reflect this game's beginnings over a century ago.

Fun My kids and I have fun w/ this game. They were interested in what people did before tv, computers, etc. January 2, 2014
didn't last more than 10 min cute game but fell apart during 1st time playing....I thought that this would be a novel idea to play during holidays with my 67 yr old MIL from England (this game is supposedly an English game from years ago)...She never heard of this before...but we played it anyway...very easy for entire family (no reading involved so good for little kids)...the ball bearings in the cones fell out after the first flip in the air (consistent with all cones) and the wooden dowels on the hands fell off of two out of 4 hands during the first play... cure game and it looks like it should stay together...but it didn't. We boxed it back up and will have to glue the ball bearings back inside the cones and the dowels to the hands if we want to play again... for $10, it should have lasted more than one game (and it didn't even make it through 1 game) December 26, 2013
