I ordered this stool reluctantly after seeing several others in different stores that were made cheaply. World Market has always lived up to my standards and they didn't let me down this time. The stool arrived and was easily assembled in less than 15 minutes. the only suggestion I have is to put some wood glue on the wood screw covers as they do come loose after some time but other than that I'm very satisfied with this purchase. in fact I go t it on sale which was even more of a great bargain! Nicely made and very sturdy construction.

Ordered two to place under a raised bar in my kitchen. Liked the price and the look. They are good for having simple value-priced seating that doesn't obstruct views in open kitchen / breakfast area. Was very disappointed when the 2nd stool was missing the assembly hardware. Since its online only, you have to fill out a form and email the manufacturer to get replacements. They said it will take 4-6 weeks to get 8 screws. Not cool.

I ordered 3 stools. Stool #1: One of the pre-assembled A-frames (which comprises two side legs and a connecting stretcher) literally came apart in my hands. The glued-in dowels simply broke apart. Stool #2: The first A-frame installed as expected, and I was able to insert the two stretchers into this A-frame just fine. Then I positioned the second A-frame only to realize that its holes were much smaller than the stretchers' dowels. Stool #3 never got to see the light of day.
The Customer Care person was very pleasant and helpful and arranged for the returns painlessly.
