Love this! Wasn't aware of any negative reviews at the time of purchasing - now that I have read two saying the lid is too tight and hard to remove, I had to write a review in hopes of redeeming this awesome product. I haven't experienced the lid being too tight - I've used it several times and have no complaints whatsoever. The slightly larger size makes it great for mixing several drinks at once. The hammered look makes it look super classy and it stands out nicely in our bar area.

I read the reviews of this cocktail shaker before going to purchase it, and decided to get it anyway, despite the negative reviews that stated the cap was difficult to remove once a cold beverage had been shaken with ice. It is such an attractive shaker with the hammered metal look, and I am so glad I got it anyway. I felt I needed to give this product "a fair shake" and write a review myself. It is not only beautiful, but functional as well! I have used it numerous times and have had NO problems with removing the cap. It is large enough to accommodate 2 to 3 drinks, and is a wonderful product! I'm so glad I got it!

I think this shaker looks gorgeous, but when I use it, two things happen. First, it is really difficult to get the lid off from the base. Second, when you shake it, the liquid leaks out from the base. When you pour the drink through the filtered top, the liquid leaks again, where the lid meets the base. It makes a mess every time I use it, and I would not recommend this shaker at all. I am very disappointed, as I gave it to my fiance as a birthday gift and now feel I need to purchase another one; a different one!

This cocktail shaker is really good looking. It stands proudly on my bar. I wish I could use it, and sadly I will be returning it.
The larger cap is way too loose, so while shaking a cocktail, the drink leaks out through the gap and goes flying everywhere. Then, the cap to the strainer is so tight it is impossible to remove. I had to use a strainer from my old cocktail shaker to pour what was left of my drink.

I work as a professional bartender, and I was excited to find such a understated, yet pretty cocktail shaker. I was chagrined to find the cap was too snug to take off when the drink was cold. i had to wait for the shaker to warm up to pour the drink, which will not do.
