Rated 5 out of 5 by LoveMyMares Just What I Needed I don't have a separate mudroom, and the piles of boots, coats, and gloves by the back door in the family room were driving me nuts. My house is rustic with a bit of industrial in the mix. This piece is perfect by the back door. It is solid and beautiful. It makes the clutter look good! It took me--58-year-old handy female--about two hours to put together by myself. If you follow the instructions, and wait to tighten the screws until the end, it's easy, and everything goes together as it should. I did fasten the top to the wall, just to be safe. I love it! Rated 5 out of 5 by deafdogmom Beautiful and strong We needed an entrance hall bench, but couldn't find one that fit our style until we saw this online. It fits perfectly in our large entrance as well as enhancing the area, and providing needed organization. It took 3 hours to put together, but mainly because the pieces are heavy... it wasn't overly difficult to assemble. Just make sure you do follow the instruction to LOOSELY tighten the screws, meaning don't tighten them at all. You need a little play to get all of the pieces to fit together, after which all of the screws can be tightened. Otherwise, it came together very easily. It is a very sturdy and beautiful bench. Now we're looking for a coordinating bench pillow to place on it. September 13, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by nakaj great knock-off... ...of a $1400 restoration hardware item! i can't attest to it being the same quality as the rh bench but it's still surprisingly sturdy & thus, a huge huge value. it's also easier to assemble than you would expect & amazingly well made given the cost. Rated 4 out of 5 by amcrey Beautiful piece, tough to assemble I saw this online and then in-store and had to have it. It's a really beautiful piece for the entryway, and the bench itself is quite sturdy. That said, I would probably give this 3.5 stars vs. 4 for a couple of reasons: 1. Some of the screws absolutely did not fit in the holes. It's not that they didn't align but that they weren't cut properly. 2. If you live in an apartment or a place you don't own, you can't mount the top to the wall, and even before hanging coats on the knobs, it leans forward a bit. The top is far more flimsy than you would expect for the price. Overall, I love the way it looks and all of the storage/organization options. I would have preferred if the thing was easier to assemble and looked like it was of higher quality (just the hangers). November 6, 2013
