Perfect Just what I pictured! Couldn't have asked for better! September 3, 2014
Gorgeous Chandelier I love it! Just what I wanted for my shabby chic condo and at the right price for my budget. The black cord is not very bothersome. Clear or white would have been nicer, but not a deal breaker. Gives off a nice soft light, have it on a dimmer. April 6, 2014
Vintage Find is Fabulous I was looking for something that was unique and this chandelier is just right. It feels well aged and is a wonderful taupe/gray color that goes with anything and does not detract from the room. It's simple, but the leafing on it keeps it from being boring. I like it so much, now I'm going to paint my dining chairs to go with it! January 24, 2013
Don't be fooled by color in pictures of product I just received this chandelier and to my disappointment it is not the ivory color (with distressed areas of pale gray) as pictured online. It is actually more of a gunmetal gray with darker black and distressed areas of silver. When they say "gray" chandelier, they mean it! I was hoping it would look lighter, like the sample pictures they used to portray this item. Perhaps once it is lit up it will illuminate it more to reflect the lighter tones I was wanting... considering returning this or taking a chance and painting it the color I was hoping it was. I will also be taking others advice and making a cute fabric sleeve cover for the chain. March 10, 2015
Touch up paint My wife and I purchased this chandelier for our new home and we too had the issue with paint peeling. We also did not care for the black electrical cord showing. To remedy this problem, we purchased "FOLKART - BUTTER PECAN" paint from Hobby Lobby and painted the cord. It matched perfectly and looks great! I still do not understand why this issue has not be corrected, but it is an easy enough fix. February 13, 2014
Beautiful chandelier with the ugliest black cord The chandelier itself is beautiful--a lot lighter (but not white) than the picture shows. Great value for the money. I was looking for a wooden, vintage-style chandelier and I got that. What I also got, unfortunately, is the most obnoxious black cord running down the chain. Why they used a black cord and not a clear one is beyond me. I'm going to wrap the chain and cord in some burlap ribbon to cover it...hopefully that will look ok. June 12, 2013
Gorgeous but a few caveats I absolutely love this chandelier--it looks wonderful in my eclectic dining room. The shape is beautiful and I love the distressed finish--it really does look like a weathered vintage piece. A few important things to note though before you purchase: first, it is a warmer, browner grey than shown in the pictures--honestly I think it's almost more of a taupe color. This worked out fine with my decor but if you are looking for a cool grey with blue undertones this will disappoint you. Second, some of the candle cups have ugly wattage stickers on them that can't be left on without ruining the look, but taking them off pulls the paint off. Luckily I had a little chalk paint on hand that worked fine to fix the issue but just be aware that you might need a bit of touch-up paint to make it look right. June 8, 2013
Looks fabulous and luxurious I have been looking for a long time for a chandelier for my dining room in this style and they were all very pricey until I found this one. My rating for Meets Expectations was not "excellent" because there was no mention of wattage on the website which necessitated having to drive 15 miles one way to the store to find out that this chandelier has a 25 watt maximum for each arm. This means that total wattage is 125 watts - not enough for a large dining room. The beauty and look of this chandelier took precedence for me vs. wattage, so I will be using 9 watt CFL soft white (equivalent to 40 watt incandescent bulbs) candelabra bulbs instead. I cannot overstate the classic, elegant, and old-world look of this lighting fixture. It looks even more beautiful in person. May 29, 2013
