Best price ever for an iron pot! I've had this teapot for about 2 years now and absolutely love it. I have also given this pot as a gift. I've seen exact same pots at other specialty tea shops that costs a fortune. I could not believe my good fortune when I found this pot at World Market for such a great price and good looks. Thank you for making my tea drinking such a pleasureable and affordable experience. February 6, 2013
Absolutely meets expectaions Works just as good as the high end cast irons at any other tea store or market. keeps hot for hours, works great with the cast iron warmer. Overall it's fantastic, and I use it nearly everyday! January 25, 2013
Great Pot, learn about cast iron first This is a phonemenal price on a great cast iron tea pot. Folks need to understand that it is cast iron, though. It is not stainless steal, you cannot treat it like ceramic... it will rust. For this reason, it is best to brew the amount you will drink and rinse and dry the pot while it is still warm (personally, I let the pot dry itself while it is still hot). For those that are willing to care for their cast iron pot, this is a great teapot at a truly ridiculous price (a similar teapot from Teavana would retail for $70-170). If you are not up for the maintenance, there are plenty of inexpensive ceramic pots that may better suit your needs. March 28, 2012
LOVE MY CAST IRON TEAPOT!!!! I am thoroughly enjoying this product! Tea is a frequent her on the farm. Especially on cold mornings & evenings...when things quiet down here & its time to settle in. I also purchased the "Warmer" because I was having trouble keeeping the tea "HOT!" Problem solved & back to enjoying my assortments of loose leaf tea! Oh, yes...On, that rusting subject. I have not had any problems. After use, I clean it and set it back on the warmer w/tea candle still lit to completely dry it out...set the lid aside until its cooled down & then place the teapot back on top of the warmer (now unlit & cooled) then atop of my stove for the next use! (If you dont own a warmer as I didn't before...I put in briefly on the stove to warm it to dry) :-) December 4, 2011
Greatest Tea Pot Ever!!! I bought this tea pot with the bottom piece that holds the tealight candle last night and have used it twice. It makes the most flavorful tea I've ever had. It's really affordable compared to other cast iron tea pots and would make a great gift. September 17, 2011
Great Pot for the Price This pot is a great value for the price, many pots like this say they have a coating on the inside of the pot, as far as i can tell from looking at mine, it has a coating of sorts because i can see visible brush strokes in it Be wary though it is cast iron so it CAN rust on you, i have used mine for a good month and a half (a good dozen different brews) and have avoided rust, i am also very cautious when cleaning it to make sure to completely wipe out the pot or all water and also i leave the top off when stored, so far no problems, but i would do the same with more expensive pots just to be safe anyway to protect my investment I would def recommend it so long as you are willing to clean it well every time you use it September 16, 2011
DO NOT BUY THIS!!! After making tea for the first time i dried out the tea pot and put the lid back on (which had condensation on the inner part). after a night of that, the entire rim of the pot had rust. I cleaned it and made sure not to do it again AND emptied and blew in the hot pot to make sure all water evaporated after use. after a week, somehow there is rust all around the spout. DO NOT BUY THIS ITEM!!! spend the extra 10$ on a better pot. November 26, 2010
