Cheap Bento Box So I just want to start off saying I was a little hesitant to buy this product after reading the other reviews first, but where I live its nearly impossible to buy bento boxes or products locally. So I went ahead and bought two (one in green, the other in blue). The price is great[$], its two tier, includes a spoon and chopsticks. I have been using both boxes daily for over a month now and they have held up well. My only complaints are that the clasps are a little fiddley, but I have noticed that this is actually a common problem with lower end beno boxes (I honestly don't mind though because the price is spot on). But because of that I would not recomend this for younger kids, it would just be too hard for them to put back together. And they are a little on the small side ( they are the size usually recomended for women in japanese bento cookbooks), this could be good thing if you are looking for a portion control tool. All in all I really like the price, and ease of use. I plan on buying a couple more to have in our lunchbox rotation. May 16, 2012
Design Flaw As a previous reviewer mentioned, the latches holding the clear top that contain the spoon and chopsticks are ridiculously flimsy. The clear top broke off in the sink while I was washing it. This occurred before I even got to use this bento box for the first time. I was really disappointed. April 28, 2012
So sad these didn't work out! Very disappointed in these bento boxes. I bought 2 for Hubby and me to take our vegan lunches to work. The plastic spoon and chopstick holder on top broke the first time Hubby used his, and mine the second time. It is a styrene plastic and the hinge broke right off. I didn't keep my receipt and had a sales price return. I still love World Market, but now I know the less expensive item is the poorest quality. March 23, 2012
