I use this pan for everything and more than once a week! Stews, rice, veggies and meat. Makes awesome fudge and candied pecans! Best when used with medium to lower heat…cleans well. Very handy size! Rated 4 out of 5 by Wonderful! Review questionnaire asks how often I use it - How about several times a week?! I've cooked in some nice cast iron and this pot is wonderful! I've used it for all sorts of things! Meats, soups, pastas, sauces - I have yet to put it in the oven, but expect it to be just fine! It's perfect for cooking for a larger family (5) and I can get my 1-pot dinner done in it! It heats up FAST and cooks QUITE well! The only cast iron that is visible on it, is the rim, and I season it after it is washed and completely dry - and I am washing it by hand. My only tiff is that metal spoons leave marks on the enamel inside, that are almost impossible to get off. Use utensils that will not mark it up! Now that I got them off I'm only using wooden or silicone utensils! But it does NOT detract from the pot at all!!! I intend to get ALL of the different sizes and options available! January 8, 2014
