They're wonderful for melting margarine for recipes or toast (most of my other bowls aren't microwave safe), dipping sauces, and combining spices. I love that I can put all of the spices I need in this tiny bowl during prep and put the containers back before dinner is done. It makes clean up faster after dinner for both containers and dishes. These (obviously) take up less space in the dishwasher than a cereal bowl. I have 5-6 of these and I sometimes run out of clean ones. I'll be buying more soon. February 14, 2016
