Rated 5 out of 5 by Mariposa85 Very TASTY! Despite the earlier reviewer of this product, I actually has the spread version of this exact same product and it is phenomenal. It is great melted in pastas or smathered on crisp crackers topped with salmon pate or grilled artichoke, I think WM made a great call on having this product available. I highly recommend to those who would like to try. Anything to do with smoked Gouda, you can't go wrong!!! December 23, 2013

Okay, legally this product may not be mislabeled because under the large text that clearly states "Naturally Smoked Gouda Cheese" the fine print states "pasteurized process cheese food" and "Gouda type flavor". However, the WM product description displayed prominently on their web page states "Glacier Ridge Farms Smoked Gouda Cheese". It says nothing about it being a pasteurized process cheese food product. The WM description also states it is a "tasty, gourmet cheese spread". Well I beg to differ, it is not a spread and there is nothing tasty or gourmet about it. It has a grainy and mealy texture, and a flavor that is only barely reminiscent of cheese and more like hardened library paste. Frankly, it is not fit to eat. By the way Ms. Commenter, I am not familiar enough with WM's store layout to know whether they have a refrigerated dairy section, nor do I care. I placed my order online and unfortunately my 60 year old eyes didn't catch the fine print. I am about to find out how good WM's return policy really is, because this stuff is going back!
