I have been waiting eagerly waiting to buy this lamp for several months, and recently received it as a Christmas gift. I absolutely LOVE it. It is exactly as described, and a wonderful accent piece for a small room, or great as a piece of a theme for a larger room. Although the lamp is not cheap, I believe it will last a long time and is worth the buy! Do note that the giraffe's head turns slightly to the left though, so it might look a little off if you place it next to a wall on its left side. Other than that, would recommend!

We purchased this lamp base for our safari-themed nursery and it is nicely made and very unique. While our whole house is almost entirely decorated in World Market furniture, this lamp could easily mesh well with the decor in any room...but we hope our son will be able to use this lamp for many years to come - and the price cannot be beat!
