Meh... Not to my liking.

Pros: Quick preparation.
Cons: A little too salty for my liking; funny aftertaste, & texture was gummy.

As promised by the cooking directions, the gnocchi floated to the top in a little over two minutes. After draining I ate one to test its doneness. It was indeed done however the texture was chewy, gummy and dense. The flour & potato flavor balance was heavily slanted towards potato; it was if I was eating gummy potatoes. There was a detectable and distinct aftertaste; I can't describe it but it seemed like combination of sodium & metal.

I prepared a butter & sage sauce to go accompany the gnocchi. I'm so glad I tasted the gnocchi after cooking it. This is because if I had prepared the sauce according to its recipe it would have been way too salty for the gnocchi. However after only eating about 0.75 of my serving I had to stop because the aftertaste was too much for my palate to bear. In the end I had to throw the rest of the serving away into the compost. I hate to waste food so I'm hoping if I toss the remaining undressed cooked gnocchi into some sort of soup it will disguise/hide the aftertaste.
