Rated 5 out of 5 by Great tea kettle I echo Uptown Gal's sentiments in her review. Usually just heat water in microwave, but this is reminiscent of growing up in a whistling tea kettle family. Form and function! June 20, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Tea Kettle I love how it looks, plus it works great. I had the other teak kettle before this, the kind that doesn't whistle, and it burned dry because I left it on and forgot about it. February 15, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by High Quality Enamel over Steel After shopping for over two weeks to find the right size, color, and quality, I discovered this tea kettle. It comes with a lifetime warranty which, for the price, is usually only offered on much higher-priced ones. I'm impressed with the quality. The garnet red is subtle and vibrant, but not too garish. A great value for the money. December 12, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Not what I expected It was OK. I should have shopped in a store. If I had seen this in the store I would not have bought it. The whistle is so loud I'm sure it could wake the neighbors. I gave it away and the person I gave it to likes it very much. April 10, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by Whistling? It will hold water and it boils the contained water. So, sure, fairly meets expectations. But the packaging and website proclaim that it whistles, which it does not. It may quietly wheeze, but not loud enough to hear it if you're depending on a standard kettle whistle to remind you that you've got water boiling. It requires some muscle to ram the top on the kettle, and that ill-fitting top may be the reason for the wheezing vs. whistling. I have not burned myself on the spout-opener, so that's a well-engineered plus. I wish I'd gotten a KitchenAid Kettle. I'd hoped for better quality from World Market, but maybe I'll stick with scarves, bowls, and lamps at WM from now on... May 12, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Spring popped off. The function is adequate, however after 3.5 months of use the spring in the sprout cover popped out, so now it won't stay open when you press on the lever. Makes for messy pouring and I have to use an oven mitt to do so. I've owned the product 3.5 months and used it daily. November 15, 2014
