Rated 5 out of 5 by Simply stunning - A real conversation piece too! I just bought this table and felt I really should write a review, not only because I'm so happy but because I thought there might be some people out there thinking about buying it but with as many questions as i had before I finally did (i've been watching it for 2 years now and waited to hit the sale and "in stock" at the same time. A few things to note: Home Delivery: Seriously, get it delivered! I had debated buying it for store pick up - wow am I glad I did NOT. The boxes are HUGE and unbelievably heavy!! I'm a fit 40+ year old female with above average strength/muscle power but there is no way I could have moved these on my own or even with a friend (my initial idea). I struck gold and bought it on sale with free shipping & a 15% extra off coupon. Find that deal and get it delivered - it really is worth it. I live in a condo building but the guys who delivered (within 5 days of ordering) brought it through our west valet upto my condo, recognizing that i was not going to be able to do it on my own!! Thank you god! I'd have needed 4 people to move it! Unpacking: I recommend you unpack and get rid of all the packaging first!! it takes up more space than your table and parts. I folded up the boxes (i'll post photos) and packed all the Styrofoam and got rid of it first to clear space. its easy to unpack but watch your back -everything is heavy, right down to the stool (steel) brackets - this is not a table for light weights!! Note that I was doing this on my own but good news is, if you have time, patience and some muscle power you can do it on your own but to do it right give yourself 2 hours (thats what it took me)! Putting it together: The good news!! There are NOT a million pieces like in other DIY kits you have to put together yourself. It was unbelievably easy to put this together - whoever designed this was a smart cookie. All the screws are already tied together so you already know exactly which pieces you need for which element you're doing. The instructions are easy to follow, make total sense (unlike other kits I got where I had to "guess or wing it". In total you have 4 stool seats, 4 stool brackets, 2 legs, 1 connecting central piece, the table top and then only 12 sets of big screws for the stools, 4 washers that you use with the little screws that hold the stool seat on the metal bracket and all the other screws are already in place on the table, you just remove them and reattach when the table top is in place - it really is easy, trust me!! Assembly: Follow the instructions - you simply cannot go wrong! Unlike most manuals they nailed it on this one! I did it entirely on my own at 11pm at night (read that as total excitement to see it together!!) and didnt make any noise doing it (i did wait to tighten all the screws till morning so not to disturb my neighbors (think metal brackets!!). Tip: the table top is extremely heavy - i attached the bracket to the legs first and positioned the table where i was sure i wanted it as you will not easily move it on your own on carpet afterwards unless you put sliders under the table legs!! Tip2: If you are doing this on your own and have enough strength, the easiest way i found to get the table top up on the legs was to put it on its tall length at the end legs, stand in the middle and pull/slide it up. It slid easily up on top and i was then able to line up/position the holes for the screws (where the metal brackets are) easily into place - worked perfectly for me as the table top is too broad/wide for you to lift it on your own in one clean swoop but pulling it and sliding it up worked for me. After that you're on a roll and you are simply attaching the screws and stools. They are very heavy so i put the top screw in first and tied the nut to stop it falling out before i put the second screw in, then start to tighten they both and youre flying! Overall Quality: Beyond expectations which were high!! Its going to outlive me for sure - this is what I would consider a "for life" table - i can see no reason I'll ever want to replace it so someone in my family will inherit it. The wood is stunning quality, the stools included. They swivel beautifully! you can always take a stool off if someone in your family needs a chair with a back so that is not an issue and is not a big deal to even do quickly! This is my dream table - its funky, retro, modern, high quality, beautiful workmanship and I'm beyond excited and happy to show it off. Photos: I'm including some photos of my assembled table so you can see how it looks in a regular condo/home! I hope these are helpful for other potential buyers! You will not regret your purchase. Its a heavy duty table that will stand up to children sliding on stools and solid, weighty people who often worry that seats wont hold up under them!! Because its metal and there is no "glue" like on wood chairs involved, your friends with weight will feel secure and comfortable! Happy to answer questions if anyone has any. I"ll keep an eye on here becuase I do want people to feel as happy as I am :) Watch out for the sale deals - its worth it!! March 12, 2016

Rated 5 out of 5 by AWESOME TABLE Just purchased this table. We put it together in a snap. The wood top is beautiful but we have place mats on top to protect it. Is there a special product that should be used to protect the finish such as polish or wax? October 30, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by this is a show stopping piece!! Love, love, love it!! I put mine on wheels (heavy caster) and it glides between the eating area & the kitchen island for additional seating when everyone wants to be around the 'kitchen action'. the grandkids love to swivel around on the seats while we adults like the fact the seats are not in the way when not in use. we also use the table for buffet service and but drink buckets, etc. on the seats for a surprising presentation. I am very sad it went on sale this month. I paid $799 less than a month ago. what is the policy regarding sale pricing & price matching? August 19, 2015

Rated 5 out of 5 by Sturdy, beautiful Love this table. Have had it for almost 2 years as a makeshift island in the kitchen. It's important to read the instructions completely before assembling. It's pretty heavy but sturdy. The legs stretch out a bit far, which makes it easy for you to stub your toes. Otherwise it's a versatile & gorgeous table. August 6, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Everyone Loves Our Table! We purchased this table about a year ago when we moved into our new house to match our "industrial" theme throughout our home. We receive TONS of compliments on this table from everyone that ever visits. It always catches everyone's attention from other rooms and everyone always has to get a closer look. Yes, it can be a little wobbly for MUCH heavier folks, but you just have to be aware. We have had no issues with the swing-style seats or anything else. The wood is a little on the soft side, but any scratches or dents just add to the "industrial-ness" of the table. This may be at the top of our all-time favorite purchases from World Market.
