I really love the color and design of this table--it's solid and attractive. My one complaint is that the planks across the top are uneven, which worries me--I have kids, and if they put a cup down on one of the seams, there are going to be spills. Still, it's a great table, and I'm generally happy with my purchase.
This is exactly what I was looking for. I actually put it together by myself in very little time. (Not recommended because it's heavy, but I did!)
I love this table. It's sturdy, attractive, and easy to assemble. We got the matching chairs and bench to go along with it and I couldn't be happier.
My husband and I bought this table 6 months ago, when we were told the Francine line was being discontinued and our only option was to buy a floor model, if we could find one. I didn't like this table at first. I fell in love with the Greyson set, which was not do-able in the size of our dining area. We bought this table on a major sale at the end of July or in August 2013. It was marked in the $400's. We joined the savings club and rec'd a coupon for an extra 20% , then got an extra discount because it was a floor model and had damage, making it under $300. Now, after 6 months, it's magically back in stock! Ours is VERY light compared to the ones in the store now, which is good for us. We always get compliments on it, and I never use a tablecloth, only placemats. My only complaints are that the cats' claws have scratched it, something a tablecloth can't prevent, and the beams used to make it are all raised unevenly, so that when I clean it, the crumbs accumulate along the ridges and don't wipe off easily. I love its antiqued look and it seats 8 people comfortably. I did not like the chairs to the set and the bench can't be pushed in while not in use, so we didn't buy them. We use this table every day and don't have kids yet. We scoured every furniture store in a 30-mile radius of our house. We'd never have snagged a better table for this price anywhere else!
Table is sturdy and gives the house a rustic, yet chic feel. The only negatives I have with it is the bench that comes in the collection is too big and does not slide under the table. Also, the pictures make it seem as though the table is a thick slab of wood when actually it is surrounded by smaller pieces of wood veneer. Other than that, the table is quite beautiful.
I was looking for a new table and needed it to be something rustic enough to survive my kids. I liked this on line. In the store, this was my favorite of the options but I wasn't positive. I took advantage of a good sale and decided to take the plunge. I am so glad I did. I love it in my home.
