This is a gorgeous and functional product. I ordered this fig glazed tagine as a gift, which the recipient loved. She has it on display and bought all the ingredients to cook her first tagine dish! Since a recipe was enclosed with the tagine, I am sure the result will be succulent! January 28, 2014
Beautiful Cookware! This tagine is absolutely beautiful and I cannot wait to cook in it! October 29, 2013
a Tagine novice I've never used a Tagine before I made this purchase. When i came across a few cookbooks on Amazon for Tagine, looking for something different to cook, my interest was peaked and I happily grabbed this Tagine from WM to give it a go. Other reviews of Tagine cooking in general encouraged use of a heat diffuser along with it, so I purchased that as well. Having never used a Tagine before, I found it to be very simple/easy to use and the food came out great! My only concern is that i may have had the temp up too high on my stove and the glaze cracked a bit on the bottom, so I am not sure if I will be able to use it for much longer, but I really think that is my fault and not the product. If i find it leaking, I will just purchase another (I like it that much). Overall it came well packaged and the color is a beautiful plum purple. Easy to cook with but easy to clean as well. Researching on my own, I discovered this item can be used both on the stove and in the oven, and it apparently acts like a slow-cooker (something i'm very familiar with). It can make great stews, both with meat and vegetarian. Also, if you are curious as I was and are looking for a cookbook, I started with "Tagines & Couscous: Delicious Recipes for Moroccan One-Pot Cooking" by Ghillie Basan. Easy to read recipes and easy to find ingredients. February 19, 2014
