It's a great teapot I worried about ordering this after reading a negative review but figured I couldn't go too far wrong with the price of it so I ordered one. It is great. The whistle isn't loud but it's there. The color is just as pictured. It works great! It adds a wonderful, bold pop of color to my kitchen. February 4, 2014
Stylin' Teapot I really like the look and color of this teapot and it whistles too. It doesn't leak from the top when you pour and boils more evenly than my last teapot. August 1, 2013
First one broke, Second one Broke Had to stop to write a review for this tea kettle. It was inexpensive and looked great in my kitchen. I brought the first one home happily but after the first use, the black spout cover/whistle was stuck open, the spring or whatever it was had broken. I couldn't shut it, and thus the kettle didn't whistle or close. I went back and asked for a new one, brought it home, and the whistle fell out of the top in three days. The glue just came undone - I guess, and the metal part fell out. Together with the other review for the blue model that says she returned a dented kettle and received another dented kettle, this tea kettle is clearly a mistake for the World Market. July 4, 2013
What a disappointment Well, I guess the old adage: "you get what you pay for," is sadly true here. This is cheap, cheap, cheap. Cheaply constructed. Cheap materials. A waste of your money. The kettle is made of either tin or aluminum, not sure which and it doesn't really matter. It feels like a fork could puncture it. It's also VERY noisy. Because the metal is so thin, you hear the gas heating the container and then the water. It's as if someone left the faucet on. All in all, this is piece of junk. Don't waste your money!
