Purchased this item, when it first arrived there was very little protection/padding within the box, this resulted in the back board being split down the middle, from the bottom of the chalkboard to below the hooks. This split also caused the chalkboard to pop off the back.
Contacted World Market CS and the sent out a new one and had me send the broken one back in return.
When the second on arrived, there was a small split in the bottom board again. It didn't span the entire width and the chalkboard wasn't popped off the back. It was also packaged much nicer with bubble wrap on wither side. I had a friend, who works with wood, take a look at the split and they said not to worry about. Packed it up and took it home and placed it on the wall. After it was hanging on the wall for a day the split expanded and is now the full width (most likely to different moisture temperatures).
In the end it has a nice look but wasn't built very sturdy or meant to last for the cost.
