Rated 4 out of 5 by ConnecticutHome Nice, great looking flatware I don't usually write reviews, but I just came home from vacation having wandered into a world market store (without a smartphone handy) and my husband and I made an impulse purchase - this set of flatware, service for 12, so 60 pieces in all. We lugged it home in our suitcases and then I checked out the reviews and almost was really bummed out by that negative review of these. I quickly unpacked the flatware and began taking off the tags - they all came off beautifully. Out of 60 pieces, only 2 labels stuck on the knives and required a small drop of goof off and voila, came right off with no problems. I actually sat down at the table and tried eating with them, just to be sure that review wasn't true #the part about throwing food all over myself) and lo and behold, I managed to get through a meal without looking like my 2 year old does post-self-feeding. Amazing. So, folks, rest assured, these are as nice as they look. They're heavy and there isn't a visible seam down the edges like some chintzy flatware sometimes has. The sides are nicely beveled, they feel solid and look wonderful. After a few uses, still looking just like when I purchased them. November 25, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by WandaFiftyPlus This flatware is phenomenal! This flatware I purchased for everyday use. I know that it can be used for formal settings as well. I love the functionality of this set. Its durable, not too heavy and fits well in your hand. Washes well. Just make sure you dry them soon after washing. As with most flatware, they will spot. All in all, they're great. I love this set! April 5, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by mcnick LOVE the design, but have to return them I bought several pieces of this silverware just before Christmas--we've been using them for a little over three months. There are two adults in our household and we use them almost daily. We do place them in our dishwasher, but the description definitely states they are dishwasher safe. I absolutely love the design. They are a bit wonky to nest together in the drawer, but they have a very nice weight to them and they look way more expensive than they were. Sadly, I recently noticed that almost all the pieces have started to rust at the "joint" where the rough handle meets the smooth part of the utensil. For this reason I will be returning them. Rated 1 out of 5 by asiems Unless you want to wear your food - SKIP this style of flatware!! We were very excited to find this flatware when we didn't receive any of the pieces we registered for in a similar style at another store. And when we saw it was half the price of the other store we jumped on it & purchased 14 place settings of each piece. WHAT A HUGE MISTAKE!! We thought the fact that this flatware was heavy was a sign that it was good quality... don't be fooled like we were. The manufacturer of this product never thought to consider that the handles & the utilitarian end of the utensil should be balanced. So if you set ANY piece of this type of flatware down on the edge of your plate, be prepared for the food to fly!! The super heavy weight of the handle makes it practically unusable. And trust me, you can't just learn to live with it. Unless you never set your utensils down, even with careful use, you'll end up with stained clothing, flooring, furniture, chair cushions... you name it! Oh & one other thing worth noting.. the price tags on these pieces are extremely difficult to remove. On at least 10 of the pieces the price tag pulled off the "silver colored coating" & we now have gold brass spots on the handles where the silver bit came right off... and that was without ever having even used any of the pieces. If we could return it all we would, but we kept it too long thinking we just needed to "adjust" to the weight of the handle & all would be well. We went back to the other store to compare their style of this flatware & I can assure you that theirs is properly balanced -- it can be done, it should have been done, but I imagine it's just cheaper not to have to worry about it. TRUTH: You get what you pay for!!! If we could get our $$$ back, we would definitely go with the better quality over this stuff, even at the higher price it's still cheaper than ruined clothing, flooring & furniture. If you're considering buying this stuff, DO YOURSELF A FAVOR & keep looking!!! March 14, 2013
