Rated 5 out of 5 by Interiorstyle High end feel and high value I am very happy with my full set of the collection and hope they add more to it in terms of sizes. I have received several compliments and if taken care of they resemble actual flatware. Owners of silver have even complimented them, asking if they were over $100 a piece. The weight and look are perfect in my opinion. I do not dish wash them and will use vegetable oil if needed on the handle to shine but this has not been necessary thus far. I have no complaints and love the look. August 21, 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by asiems Unless you want to wear your food - SKIP this style of flatware!! We were very excited to find this flatware when we didn't receive any of the pieces we registered for in a similar style at another store. And when we saw it was half the price of the other store we jumped on it & purchased 14 place settings of each piece. WHAT A HUGE MISTAKE!! We thought the fact that this flatware was heavy was a sign that it was good quality... don't be fooled like we were. The manufacturer of this product never thought to consider that the handles & the utilitarian end of the utensil should be balanced. So if you set ANY piece of this type of flatware down on the edge of your plate, be prepared for the food to fly!! The super heavy weight of the handle makes it practically unusable. And trust me, you can't just learn to live with it. Unless you never set your utensils down, even with careful use, you'll end up with stained clothing, flooring, furniture, chair cushions... you name it! Oh & one other thing worth noting.. the price tags on these pieces are extremely difficult to remove. On at least 10 of the pieces the price tag pulled off the "silver colored coating" & we now have gold brass spots on the handles where the silver bit came right off... and that was without ever having even used any of the pieces. If we could return it all we would, but we kept it too long thinking we just needed to "adjust" to the weight of the handle & all would be well. We went back to the other store to compare their style of this flatware & I can assure you that theirs is properly balanced -- it can be done, it should have been done, but I imagine it's just cheaper not to have to worry about it. TRUTH: You get what you pay for!!! If we could get our $$$ back, we would definitely go with the better quality over this stuff, even at the higher price it's still cheaper than ruined clothing, flooring & furniture. If you're considering buying this stuff, DO YOURSELF A FAVOR & keep looking!!! March 14, 2013
