The cream color is a soft ivory that contrasts well with the chrome. The base is very sturdy and it's very quick and elementary to assemble.
This chair is perfect for short-term office sitting. I wouldn't recommend it if you sit at a desk for 8+ hours a day, but it looks great and is perfect for short-term and sporadic computer use.

I purchased these chairs because I had a really hard time finding a white or ivory leatherish chair for less than $500. This chair s very stylish but isn't meant for a real office where you sit for 8hrs. I use it for my home office where I only sit for 2 hrs or so and it has been ok, but my husband sit longer and has expressed concern about the lack of comfort long term.
