Rated 2 out of 5 by Chimonger Could be nice, but very short-lived? I bought 2 of these. Only opened one so far. Got one spool out of it's container, tried lights to make sure they worked. Nice and bright! Noted: these do have an odd timer, allowing only 6 hrs on/18 hrs off, or manual on/off. Next, very carefully, gingerly, unwound it directly from spool onto the stem of a branch for a decoration, to minimize handling of the wires. Didn't like the placement, so, very carefully unwound the outer 1/2 of it, back onto it's spool, then rewound onto branch.. Tried the lights a 2nd time, but they didn't work. Suddenly, the battery control box just disconnected from the light string; the wires both came apart from the main string, right at the first lightbulb. So, this set? Useless, unless it can be repaired...but since wires disconnected immediately at the bulb, there's no loose ends we can reconnect. We must return to store and get replacements, if we're going to be able to wrap this branch. We'd be using these several hours daily, for several months per year, IF they worked. I Really need these little seed-lights...they are just right to add accent on a fancy decor branch--nothing else will do. VERY costly for what they are, though. POSSIBLE PROBLEM IN PACKAGING: ALLOWS BATTERY BOX TO RATTLE AROUND INSIDE THE PACKAGING, STRESSING THE WIRE CONNECTION TO THE BATTERY BOX. December 28, 2015
