Copper 2-Quart Saucepan 2 2
Love it! I absolutely love this little 2-qt pot and use it all the time after getting rid of my pans with non-stick coating due to their health risks. I have not had the same experience of the copper peeling off as the other reviewer had, but I also use only moderate heat. With copper, you are only supposed to use moderate and low heat since it does such a great job of conducting. You don't really need to crank it up any higher because the pot works so well. One thing I have learned is to subtract about 2 minutes off of your usual pasta cooking and water boiling times. Also, many people complain about copper saying it is high maintenance, but about once every other month or so, I just dip half of a lemon in salt and coat the pan, rinse, and it is perfectly shiny again! So easy in 5 minutes with NO elbow grease required. Am going to upgrade all of our Calphalon pots to copper! July 3, 2015
Copper stripped off after one use. As a pot, this cooked well. Which is the only reason I gave it two stars, rather than only one. However, after only one use, where the flames contacted the surface it stripped off the copper revealing the steel underneath. If I were rating solely on it's cooked performance I could rate higher. However, a fair amount of the reason you are purchasing this product is due to its copper finish. Considering this, and the fact that it burns off after its first use, I cannot recommend this product. If you're looking for a copper pot, find one from a manufacturer that does more than a slight coating on the outside, because this is not the one you want. June 16, 2015
