Beautiful big nightstand! I must admit that when I bought these tables I took a chance on them mostly because of the price (half price on clearance), even though I thought they looked nice in the picture I wasn't really wowed. I was looking for something in a painted finish to break up all of the dark wood in our room, and 2 of these on sale totalled less than one matching nightstand for our bed. The boxes came by UPS and I was surprised at how heavy they were- solid furniture is a good thing! Boxes were a bit banged up in corners with one leg having a small ding, but I really wanted something more antiqued looking so it did not bother me at all. It is hard to tell from pictures but these tables do have a slightly pitted or crackled look to them. Assembly was time consuming, as it always is with the diy furniture- some holes drilled crooked, a bit of tweaking here and there... But the drawers open and close fine. The pieces are quite sturdy and look so much more expensive than what we paid. Really, I could not be happier with the value for price paid! Oh, and did I mention the drawer pulls? So much nicer than the usual hardware given at this price range. June 19, 2013
Infested with beetles I bought 2 of these for a bedroom and really liked them. But I kept seeing sawdust under one of them. Then yesterday I noticed little holes in it that hadn't been there before, plus a LOT more sawdust. I have these in a newly built lake house that I visit about every 2 weeks. I did some research and discovered that it was infested with wood eating beetles! Apparently this can happen with imported furniture. I returned it to the store but learned that they no longer make this. So now I'll have to return the other one the next time I get to the lake house and can haul it back to the store. August 18, 2013
