I have owned this couch for about 2 months now. I had been thinking about purchasing it for about a year and finally decide to take the plunge when it went 25% off, plus a 15% coupon, so I got it for around $750 once you factor in tax. I looked around for other small sectional options, but could find none that had both this price and style. In particular I was looking for armless versions and this one obviously give you that. The fabric is higher quality and cleaned up easily when I once spilled something on it. I suspect it will not be the most durable couch and the reviewers who note the issues with the pillows getting misshapen and the seat cushion fabric loosening and pooling are absolutely accurate. For me, being a small person without children or pets, it should do fine for at least a few years. Note however that I am strategic about not always sitting in the exact same spot on it! See my second photo of one of these spots where I sat where the fabric loosens. If I did not feel confident that this couch was the best value and style for the money, this would really bother me (but it doesn't, not yet at least), so I'm glad that I did my homework prior to purchasing it. It is still really comfortable regardless. As far as the specs go, the measurements online were wrong I think - the couch is smaller than the measurements state, and for this I was glad. It is about 80" x 86" . It was easy to assemble, the legs were zipped up inside one of the sections. When I initially got it I thought they'd left them out!

Also, when uploading pictures, that were smaller than the 5mb maximum, the site gave me a 504 Gateway error, TWICE, and reloaded all of this (lucky I know from doing enough reviews to paste the summary in Word right after you finish). Then, when making my 2mb files smaller, even though they should work, I get an error saying the image is too small. This incompetence of a website is annoying and unacceptable with today's tech, WM fix this!

This couch is perfect, size wise, for a small apartment or even a place where you do not want a huge sectional. Let's face it, most sectionals devour the room. This one on the other hand is perfect in size.

However if you purchase this... plan on never sitting on it.... as it sags after a few months!

For a grand, I am very disappointed. I've have the couch now for about a year and a half. I don't do jumping jacks on this thing, but it sure looks like it. There are only two of us in our house hold, not counting our baby, and the couch looks as if it has been used as a jumper or a million people have sat on it.

The cushions do not hold up, they sag! I've had to invest into a box (huge) of Polyfill to replump the cushions (back cushions). Granted I understand cushions will lose their plumpness, but this is insane.

Another down point cushions (seat end). They have some how separated leaving a gap in the main sectional portion. It is absolutely horrible! How this happened is beyond me. However all I know is there is a separation and once again I'm out to look for a way to restuff another portion of the couch. The material (Charcoal covering) on the seat end also winkles up. It almost looks like someone stretched it out as it forms waves... Overall it looks VERY worn and is saggy.

Also the design is horrible on weight distribution. The main sectional is long but yet supported by 4 legs. Should be 6. This has caused for a creaking sound in the couch, directly tied to the middle Sagging! This is where two additional legs should be. So yes, if two or more sit on that end (the long end), the couch does sag. To fix this i placed support board under the middle of this section.

Stay away, it is not worth your hard earned money to turn into a saggy, wavy, couch that looks beat in no time! Very disappointed.

Springs Pop Up!

Comments about Charcoal Wyatt Sectional Sofa:

We purchased the Wyatt sofa in a putty color in the store about a year ago and the springs started popping up. It makes it very uncomfortable to sit on. It's not worth the purchase. Doesn't last long.

Do NOT buy!

Comments about Charcoal Wyatt Sectional Sofa:

We have only had this couch about a year but it looks like we've had it for much longer. At first the couch looked great and was comfortable. But within a month of having the couch the cushions that you rest your back on started to look mushed down and squished. Even when you shake them and fluff them back into shape they still don't look right and go back to how they were. Soon after the cushions you sit on started to change shape too. The cushion you sit on on the longer part of the couch looks like it has split or deep crease underneath the fabric. More recently the springs have started to pop up on more than one place of the couch which makes it very uncomfortable to sit on. I would not recommend this couch at all. In our home only two people use this couch and we don't have any large pets that go on it. We are careful with our things and treat them properly. I'm truly surprised just how terribly this couch has held up. For something that is only about a year old it looks like it's ready for the dump. Such a disappointment. :(

Cheaply made-- chemical smell

By

Comments about Charcoal Wyatt Sectional Sofa:

My sister in D.C. bought this sofa (at the sale price) and asked me to write this review for her. This sofa looked good when it was delivered but is a very cheaply made (bottom of the line) Chinese import (delivered through the port of Oakland). The smell of chemicals coming off the sofa was so strong even after a week of airing it out the chemicals still gave her a headache (she has never had these kinds of sensitivities). She also has a little boy and she was worried about him and the toxicity from the chemicals. She had to return it (between the cost of delivery and the return she lost quite a bit of money and has to save again to try to buy a US made sofa).

Please do not buy

Comments about Charcoal Wyatt Sectional Sofa:

I bought this couch and immediately the back cushions batting material inside separated and looked terrible. Next I started to fill the springs through the bottom cushions. Terribly made. I was so thankful for world market. I purchased the couch past their normal policy return date yet due to the integrity of this company and a wonderful local store I was able to rerun it and get store credit for the full amount I paid for it. I was grateful but please do not purchase this couch. It is not made well and honestly the back is not high enough thus making it uncomfortable.

DO NOT BUY

Comments about Charcoal Wyatt Sectional Sofa:

8 months ago I read reviews and found them to be generally positive, these must be from people who gave a review just after purchase and not after actual usage. This is 2 piece sofa which is theoretically kept together by a grooved plastic piece and a knob on the underside of the 2 pieces. The problem is that whenever you sit near the crack the 2 pieces separate and you fall to the floor. When you just plop down on the sofa the pieces come undone even if you are not near the place where the 2 parts come together. The plastic piece is so thin and loose it does very little to keep the sectional together. After a few months the plastic piece just broke all together. The back pillows are easily mis-shapen and they are difficult to get back in shape. I am very disappointed and if I could get my money back I would.
