Rated 5 out of 5 by JCrane Great chair for the price! I purchased 2 of these chairs and I am very happy with them. For the price, they are great. They are very firm at first, but are breaking in just fine. I did not have any issues, as far as damage or uneven legs, etc. that other reviewers mentioned. I would highly recommend these chairs! Rated 5 out of 5 by paige026 Beautiful Chair!! Worth every penny Let me just say that I LOVE this chair. I was a little hesitant at first to purchase because people said it had a "denim" color instead of gray, but those reviews were wrong. This is definitely a gray color. It's comfortable to sit in and very affordable. We use it in our family room. I've gotten so many compliments with it. I purchased the parquet laptop table to go next to it, and it looks very high end. July 27, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Austinem Def grey! Great chair. You only have to add the legs! On the firm side but I prefer it that way! Great value for the money because of the reversible cushion. You def need a large pillow for this chair if you want the sitters feet to touch the floor! I'm 5'5 and without a pillow my feet don't touch the ground! The are two small lumbar pillows included that are 19.5 x 12. I used them elsewhere. My only compliant is that the back legs were hard to get to tighten firmly. It took lots of elbow grease and I'm afraid they might strip. Def try to find it in the store! The shipping is exorbitant! The color is def a charcoal grey. I'm not seeing any blue in my chair at all! February 15, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by bellalunaoc LOVE the quality of this chair! We were looking for a pair of wingbacks for our living room, and narrowed it down to the Charcoal Oscar chairs at World Market, the Thatcher Wingback at Pottery Barn, or the new wingback Ikea now offers. Hands down, we are so happy we purchased from World Market! This chair is excellent quality! It is one solid piece, so it doesn't have to be built. The legs just have to be screwed in, and they are very sturdy with nice detailed finishes. The seat cushions and throw pillows are actually slipcovered, and can be unzipped and taken off (although you would never know it because it doesn't have the loose/wrinkly quality of a slipcovered chair). This is a really nice grey/blue color. Not a steely black-ish grey. The fabric has variations much like linen, so I think it will hide dirt and stains if an accident occurs. These chairs are only a third of the price as the ones at Pottery Barn, but with an equal quality. They are more feminine and less modern than the ones offered at Ikea, and a step up in how they are made. I can't recommend them enough! August 16, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by jmcd Good for the money, ok overall I'm using two of these in my kitchen and think they'll work great. As other folks have noted, the cushion is very firm and there are some issues with the legs. These were the low-quality indicators I noticed: > I had trouble getting the legs screwed in and aligned and was worried I'd strip the bolts. > One of the chairs didn't sit level on the floor (three legs on the floor, one off, so it rocked a bit) > One of the wings seemed misaligned. Not super obvious unless you're looking at the chair straight on, then it looks a bit warped. > So-so job on upholstery. There are a few spots where the fabric wasn't pulled tight enough before being stapled. > Speaking of staples, watch out!! I had to yank two out with pliers because they weren't secured and would have cut or scratched me if I hadn't seen them. The arms are very low, more for decoration than actual use. Unlike a more substantial wingback, the backs don't come up high enough to rest your head on. For me, they end about at my shoulders. The color...is playing tricks on my eyes. I'm certain it's gray, but I can see how other people are seeing a bit of blue. Overall very happy with the purchase, which seems funny to say given all I pointed out. They're comfortable and after shopping around a LOT for chairs like this, I can confirm the price is insanely good especially if you hit a sale. July 5, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by CJ2015 Great looking chair I bought two of the Oscar Wingback chairs today. They were in boxes at the store therefore I didn't have the opportunity to sit in them before purchasing. From the dimensions I had seen I knew they were the right scale for my living room. The color was nice and I loved the nailhead trim. Assembly was a breeze, just screw in the legs. Now as far as comfort goes...they are stiff. Very firm. If I keep them I will have new cushions made. Also, When I sit in them my feet don't touch the ground, that also affects the comfort. By the way, these don't have the appearance of blue denim to me. They are gray, linen look. Not a solid, dark gray as they appear on line. January 23, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by HoneyBeee In person, the color looks more denim blue than charcoal gray I bought two of these chairs to go with a World Market charcoal gray lampshade and two World Market charcoal gray throw pillows. Unfortunately, these chairs look more denim blue than they do charcoal gray. Additionally, the cushions are a bit too firm for my liking and the chairs aren't all that comfortable without the lumbar support pillow but they're still more stylish than the chair I'm replacing and they're significantly cheaper than the chairs I almost purchased at a furniture store so I'm satisfied with them. Rated 2 out of 5 by RunnerGirl You get what you pay for I'm really disappointed in this chair. We purchased two of them about two weeks ago. The quality of the legs is really poor. The back leg has a big chunk out of it and the front doesn't screw in straight and is on an angle. I can't imagine these will last long. May 26, 2015
